Jeronimo Arancibia Mendes ( Spanish: Jerónimo Méndez ; September 25, 1887, Chanyaral - 1959) - Chilean politician who served as president of the country in 1941-1942.

Biography
He was born in the city of Chanyaral, where he received secondary education. In 1914 he received a doctorate in medicine from the University of Chile . President Pedro Aguirre Cerda has appointed him Minister of the Interior. After the death of President Aguirre Cerd on November 25, 1941, he became interim president. He organized the presidential election, which was won by Juan Antonio Rios on February 1, 1942 .
