Biography
His father was a bookmaker, Bernie himself served in the merchant fleet, and also worked as a musician at dances and weddings. Then, with their brother, they created a duet called “Choochie-Face” [1] . In October 1957, the duo performed at the Six-Five Special and, as the Daily Mirror described, these were the best comedians of the British youth audience [2] . They received recommendations from the organizer of the show, Josephine Douglas for Tommy Steel , with whom they went on tour.
Berry split up with Mike in 1978 and in the late 1970s - early 1980s he presented The Big Top Variety Show , a television series consisting of various circus shows. In 1984, he introduced the second season of the Whose Baby? . He also appears regularly in shows such as Punchlines and Give Us A Clue , making a strong impression on Bad Flanagan on television and, later, on stage with Leslie Krauser and his partner Chesney Allen .
