Georg Bertram ( German: Georg Bertram ; April 27, 1882 [1] , Berlin - July 14, 1941 , New York ) is a German pianist and music teacher.

Biography
He studied under Ernst Jedliczka , then also studied conducting under the direction of Hans Pfitzner and composition under Philippe Rüfer . In 1903 - 1933 taught at the Stern Conservatory ; among his students, in particular, Salvador Ley , Lilly Dymont [2] . As a soloist he performed with such conductors as Wilhelm Furtwengler , Bruno Walter , Karl Muck . He has toured in Poland, Sweden, England, the Netherlands. Carried out in 1924 - 1928 . a number of recordings, including several sketches of Frederic Chopin , Variations on the Beethoven theme by Camille Saint-Saens (edition for two pianos, with Karol Schröter ), piano trio of P. Tchaikovsky “In memory of the great artist” (with Rudolf Deman and Karl Dehert) , concert for four claviers with orchestra Antonio Vivaldi (with Bruno Eisner , Leonid Kreutzer and Franz Osborne , Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra , conductor Heinz Unger ).
With the advent of the Nazis for some time he performed in concert programs of the Jewish Cultural Union (in particular, together with the string quartet of Boris Kroyt ) [3] . Then he was able to leave Germany, since 1936 in the USA.
