Socialist Imperial Party

The Socialist Empire of Germany ( Sozialistische Reichspartei ) is an ultra-right political party in West Germany in 1949-1952 .

The socialist imperial party of Germany was founded on October 2, 1949 by the former Wehrmacht general Otto-Ernst Remer and nationalist writer Fritz Dorls. The party considered itself the legal successor of the NSDAP , the majority of the party members were members of the NSDAP. The socialist imperial party considered Karl Doenitz the legal president of Germany , appointed by Adolf Hitler , the party denied the Holocaust , advocated for the return of "the former eastern regions " and the " solution of the Jewish question " to Germany.

In the parliamentary elections in the FRG of 1949, Fritz Dorls was elected to the Bundestag from the German Conservative Party - the German Right Party . In 1950, Fritz Rössler, a member of the Bundestag, joined the party.

In the elections to the Lower Saxony Diet in May 1951, the party received 11.0% of the vote and 16 seats in October 1951 , in the elections to the Bremen Parliament the party received 7.7% of the votes and 8 seats.

On October 23, 1952, the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany announced a ban on the activities of the Socialist Imperial Party. However, in anticipation of such a decision, the party dissolved itself on September 12, 1952 .
