Lugansk truth is a mass political newspaper . It was published from June 1917 to April 2014 mainly, recently - three times a week (Tue, Thu, Sub. [1] ). Newspaper History

  • The first name of the newspaper “Donetsk Proletarian” the first issue was published on June 14, 1917, the founder and first editor Kliment Voroshilov signed it to the world. The newspaper was an organ of the Lugansk Committee of the RSDLP . She was daily.

After the liberation of Lugansk in December 1919, the newspaper was printed in the former printing house of I. S. Zhitomirsky on Pochtovaya Street, its circulation was 800 copies. At the end of 1921, with the onset of cold weather, steam heating was turned on in the printing house, but pipes broke, and then the typesetters had to work in severe frost. Productivity fell by half, as it took more time to warm up than to work. The printing house was offered a new room on Uspenskaya street.

By the end of 1923, the circulation of the newspaper was 5 thousand copies. and she went out on two newspaper pages. By this time, the information provided in the newspaper had ceased to satisfy the needs of Luhansk residents, and there were no funds to expand the newspaper to 4 pages. Its circulation fell from 5 thousand to one and a half, and in February 1924 the newspaper was forced to close. Again, “Luganskaya Pravda” began to appear only six months later - from the month of August. Its volume was 4 pages (the printing house was on Karl Marx Street - the former Kazan). By 1926, 130 people worked in the printing house, the newspaper consisted of 5 people.

Since 04/01/1927, the newspaper has been printed on 8 pages and its circulation is 16 thousand copies. At this time, efforts were made to increase the circulation of the newspaper. By the end of that year, it was increased to 20 thousand.

From September 20, 1930 to November 5, 1933 , as well as in 1945, the newspaper was published in Ukrainian .

  • The eighth name of the newspaper Voroshilovgradskaya Pravda (1935-1942, 1943-1958, and from 1970-1990).

In 1935, Lugansk was renamed Voroshilovgrad, in accordance with this, from 1935 to 1942 the newspaper was called "Voroshilovgrad truth." The daily newspaper of the city committee, city council and city council.

In 1942 , during the German occupation of Lugansk , the newspaper stopped its publication.

In 1943 - 1958 restores its output (the first military release - No. 196 of November 24, 1943 ).

In April 2014, in connection with the revolutionary processes of the proclamation of the LPR that began in Lugansk, the newspaper stopped publishing. Its latest editor, Oksana Laschenova, was captured by Ukrainian punishers from the Aidar battalion [3] . The building of Luganskaya Pravda was bombed during the summer shelling of the city by Ukrainian punishers.

In June 2019 , a special issue dedicated to the centenary of the creation of the newspaper was published in Lugansk [4]
