The victory in the group was won by the Slovak team, ahead of Slovenia by two points, which finished second and went to butt games. Both previous participants in the World Cup stopped the fight ahead of schedule, and only the team of San Marino was lower than Poland.

The schedule of matches was approved on January 16, 2008 in Bratislava [1] , however, the matches of August 2009 were rescheduled from 19th to 12th by the decision of the FIFA Executive Committee on May 27, 2008 [2] .
