Origin
The Köhne clan originates from Württemberg and dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. The ancestor of the baron clan von Köhne B.V. Köhne , who moved to Russia in the early 1840s, was the son of a secret state archivist, a Berlin Jew, who adopted the Reformed religion [1] .
Baron title
With the diploma of the Princess Ruler of the Principality of Reis, the senior line , Carolina-Amalia , dated May 12/24, 1862 , State Counselor, Manager of the Arms Division of the Department of the Herald of the Governing Senate, Assistant Director of the Hermitage Bernhard (Boris Vasilyevich) Köhne was erected, with his descendants, Baron Principality of Reis dignity.

The shield is divided into four parts. In the first and fourth golden parts there is a black standing lion with scarlet eyes and tongue, in the second and third lazure parts a golden palm tree. The shield is crowned with a baronial crown with two helmets. Crests: the first, crowned helmet - a standing black lion, turned to the left, with scarlet eyes and tongue, the second helmet, decorated with a black and gold corolla - a golden palm tree. The bastards on the right are black with gold, on the left are azure with gold. Motto: “WE FEARNAC FOE” (“We Are Not Afraid of Enemies”) in black on a gold ribbon.
