Changes to the rules
During the tournament, it became known about the changes in the rules. In the event that the outcome of the match is decided in the penalty shoot-out, they are not held according to the instant death rule, but in a series of 3 penalty kicks from each team. In the event of a tie, penalties break through the rule of instant death.
Also in some media there is information from the head coach of the Russian national team about changing the time the goalkeeper holds the ball, his appearances outside nine meters, his playing in the penalty area, as well as the reduction from 5 to 4 seconds of the time the ball is brought in from out. These changes to the rules were introduced after the completion of Club Mundialito for beach soccer in 2013 and, apparently, will be permanent for all tournaments held by BSWW.
Group Stage
A draw was held on October 10, 2013, in which eight teams were divided into two groups of four teams. [2] [3] [4] The official match schedule was published on October 29, 2013. [5]
