Albert Davidovich Trauberg (July 31, 1881, Wenden - May 14 (28), 1908, St. Petersburg ) - a member of the revolutionary movement in the Russian Empire at the beginning of the 20th century, founder and leader of the Flying Northern Detachment of the Social Revolutionary Party . Biography
Born in 1881 in the town of Venden in the Russian Empire ( now Cesis, Latvia ), Latvian by nationality. Trauberg met the revolutionary movement in 1896 in Riga , taking part in the editing and hectography of the magazine “First Steps”. He was a member of the Baltic Union of Social Democrats. Later he was a member of the organization “Forward”, in the case of which he was arrested on January 17, 1903. In the autumn of 1905 was released. Having been released, he became a member of the Central Committee of the Latvian Union of Social Democrats until 1906. In the summer of 1906 he joined the Socialist Revolutionary Party . In the same year, Trauberg became the creator and first leader of the Flying Combat Unit of the Northern Region . They organized several successful terrorist attacks: the murder of military prosecutor Pavlov , the head of the Krest prison, Ivanov , Maksimovskiy, and others.
He was arrested in November 1907 after being denounced by the provocateur Yevno Azef . May 14, 1908 was hanged by the verdict of the military district court. His comrades in the Combat Detachment were also arrested and hanged in February of the same year.
