Located 14 km south of Kurchatov on the Reut River, the left tributary of the Seimas . The resident population is 92 people (2010). Height above sea level - 226 m [2] .

History
By 1880, there were 60 yards in Kolpakovo, 440 people lived here, 2 churches, a parish school, 2 shops, a stud farm operated. 5 fairs were held in the village per year. From 1861 to the 1920s, Kolpakovo was the center of the Kolpakovo volost of the Lgovsky district of the Kursk province [3] .
