Biography
Born December 4, 1930 in the settlement of Belaya (now - Kursk region). During the Great Patriotic War , in 1943, he began his career in agriculture. For more than 40 years, Pyotr Ivanovich Glukhovtsov dedicated his work to a tractor driver on the collective farm "For Communism" in the Belovsky District of the Kursk Region. Petr Ivanovich has always been a forerunner of agricultural production, a role model not only for fellow countrymen. The name of P.I. Glukhovtsov, his labor records and innovations were well known in the region and region. For great success in obtaining record yields of grain and fodder crops, the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated June 21, 1966 gave Peter Ivanovich Glukhovtsov the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Hammer and Sickle Medal and the Order of Lenin . After retirement, Pyotr Ivanovich continued to set an example, working in his own household on grain cleaning machines and constantly helping young machine operators to master their skills. He enjoyed great love and respect among fellow villagers and prestige among the heads of the economy, district, and region. Petr Ivanovich Glukhovtsov died on January 28, 2009 in his suburb.
