Vozhaёl is a village in the Knyazhpogost district of the Komi Republic ( Russia ). Included in the rural settlement "Tract" . The village is located on the left bank of the Veslyana River , 16 km from the Veslyana railway station on the Kotlas - Vorkuta line .

In 1942 [2] Vozhayol received the status of an urban-type settlement. Since 1991 - a rural settlement. Until February 27, 2012 Vozhaoyol was the center of the rural settlement Vozhaoyol.
The name was received by the eponymous (Vozhoyol) tributary of the Veslyan River. In the Komi language, the leader means “with a branch, with a fork”, spruce - “forest river”. Vozhoyel - "forked river" [3] .
