Ricardo Rohas Frias ( Spanish: Ricardo Rojas Frías ; June 15, 1955 ) - a Cuban boxer in the light heavyweight category, played for the Cuban national team in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Biography
Ricardo Rojas was born on June 15, 1955. He achieved his first serious success in the ring in 1976, when he won the Central American and Caribbean Championship in Kingston in the light heavyweight category. Also this year was the best at the international tournament in Szczecin , and a year later won a victory at a tournament in Berlin .
Thanks to a series of successful performances, Rojas won the right to defend the honor of the country at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow - he managed to reach the semi-finals stage, after which, with a score of 2: 3, he lost to Paul Skshech . After receiving the bronze Olympic medal, Ricardo Rojas continued to enter the ring for some time in the national team of Cuba, but he did not achieve any significant achievements. He ended his sportsman career in the mid-1980s.
