Olviopolsky district - an administrative unit in the Novorossiysk province , Ekaterinoslavsky and Voznesensky governorships, Nikolaev and Kherson provinces. The center is the city of Olviopol .

History
On the submission of Count Potemkin , on January 22, 1784 , the Olviopolsky district was formed, in Yekaterinoslav governorship . In 1795 it was assigned to the Ascension governorship, in 1796 - to the Novorossiysk province , in 1802 - to the Nikolaev province , in 1803 - to the Kherson province . The introduction of the military settlements of the 3rd Ulansky Ukrainian division in 1821 and the transfer of part of the lands of Elisavetgrad and Olviopolsky districts to the military department led to their liquidation and the formation of the remaining civilian lands of Bobrinetsky district , which occurred on December 6, 1828.
