Biography
Born on February 10, 1923 in the village of Kursavka, now in the Andropovsky district of the Stavropol Territory .
In the Red Army since 1942. In the army since August 1942. He participated in the battles to liberate the Krasnodar Territory, break through the enemy’s defense on the Blue Line, and liberate the Taman Peninsula.
Stratiychuk was especially distinguished during the Kerch-Eltigen operation .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 17, 1943, for the courage, bravery and heroism of the guard, Lieutenant Stratychuk Pyotr Mikhailovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union .
November 10, 1943 died in battle. He was buried in the Leninsky district.
