History
Until 2015, the canton included the communes:
Apremont , Gouvieux , Cua la Foret , Lamorlet , Saint-Maximin , Chantilly .
As a result of the 2015 reform [1], the composition of the canton was changed. It included separate communes of the abolished canton of Neuilly en Tel .

The canton includes the communes (population according to the National Institute of Statistics for 2014 ):

Policy
In the 2017 presidential election, residents of the canton in the 1st round gave Francois Fillon 30.5% of the vote against 24.5% of Emmanuel Macron , 19.4% of Marine Le Pen and 13.1% of Jean-Luc Melanshon ; in the 2nd round, Macron won the canton, receiving 66.9% of the vote. (2012 1st round: Nicolas Sarkozy - 39.4%, Francois Hollande - 19.7%, Marine Le Pen - 17.9%; 2nd round: Sarkozy - 64.2%).
Since 2015, the canton has been represented on the Council of the Oise by Mayor of Lamorole, Nicole Ladurelle, and Mayor of Gouvier, Patrice Marchand (both Republicans ).
