Mine named after S. M. Kirov - a mine in the Soviet district of the city of Makeevka in Ukraine , is currently being developed by a separate unit of the SE Makeevugol , formed by the union of mines No. 1 of Kirov and Kirovsko-Zapadnaya. History
Mine No. 1 of the Kirov was commissioned in 1955. Its production capacity was planned at the level of 100 thousand tons per year. The Kirovskaya-Zapadnaya mine was commissioned in 1948. Its production capacity was planned at the level of 99 thousand tons per year. The mine as a subdivision of SE Makeevugol was formed on February 7, 1996 on the basis of the mine administration, which included Mine No. 1 of Kirov and Mine Kirovskaya-Zapadnaya .

Accidents
The Kirovskaya-Zapadnaya mine is considered hazardous due to sudden methane emissions. All seams are hazardous in explosions and dust.
May 5, 2001
05.05.2001 year there was an explosion of methane-air mixture. 10 miners died and 37 were injured [2] [3] .
August 23, 2009
On August 23, 2009, a gas explosion occurred during installation work on the preparatory work site of the 1st East Lava of the Upper H10 formation. Eight people died, another 19 were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity [4] .
