Prokudin, Nikolai Nikolaevich

Nikolai Nikolayevich Prokudin (born August 7, 1961 , Leninsk-Kuznetsk, Kemerovo Region ) is a prose writer, children's writer, member of the Union of Writers of St. Petersburg and the Union of Russian Writers. The author of 15 books.

Biography

He graduated from high school in Dneprodzerzhinsk in 1978. A year later, he was drafted into the army as a radio operator, then entered the Sverdlovsk Higher Military-Political Tank-Artillery School , where he studied from 1980 to 1984. After graduation, he served in the Turkestan military district .

He participated in the hostilities in Afghanistan in 1985-1987, was awarded two orders of the Red Star, and medals.

Retired by the Ministry of Defense, stock major. He took part in the protection and escort of ships from pirates in the Indian Ocean in 2011-2016.

Member of the Union of Russian Writers and the Writers' Union of St. Petersburg (2004). Chairman of the prose section (2008-2012), chairman of the military-patriotic, adventure and detective literature section since 2012 and the military literature commission of the Union of Russian Writers. Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of St. Petersburg, literary secretary of the International Federation of Russian Writers .

Laureate of the literary prize named after N.V. Gogol (2004, in the nomination “Taras Bulba” for the trilogy “Try to return alive ...”) [1] , laureate of the regional competition “Thank you, soldier” (2006), held under the auspices of the All-Russian public organization “Combat Brotherhood”, laureate of the first Kozma Prutkov International Literary Festival (2013), prize winner A.K. Tolstoy.
