Paragorgia arborea

Paragorgia arborea (lat.) - a type of coral polyps from the order Alcyonacea . The coral branches form a flat network up to 2.5 meters high. Distributed in the northern Pacific and Atlantic oceans (from Norway, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland to Nova Scotia), as well as off the coast of Patagonia and the Falkland Islands [1] . They live at a depth of more than 200 m, where the water temperature is 4-8 ° C [1] .
