Biography
Born September 21, 1937 in Tallinn.
In 1956-1957 he studied at the Tallinn Pedagogical Institute . In 1961 he graduated from the acting department of the Tallinn State Conservatory (course of Voldemar Panso ).
During 1961-1968 he worked in the Rakvere Theater, in 1968-1978 in the Endla Drama Theater in Pärnu , in 1985-1988 in the Estonian Drama Theater , in 1988-1993 in the Old Town Studio Theater ( est Vanalinnastuudio ) and in 1993-2002 - again in the Estonian Drama Theater. Also played in the theater studio "Theater".
Engaged in teaching activities. Since 1978, he taught at the Tallinn State Conservatory (now the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater) at the Department of Dramatic Art (dean, since 1998 - professor ).
In 1997, he taught at the theater department at the Estonian Humanities Institute.
