History
The village of Mitropolie is located on the coast of the river “Big Lomovis”.
The first mention refers to the year 1700 - according to an extract from the refusal book of the Tambov mandative hut on the land of the metropolitan of Ryazan Abraham. [3] . For a long time in the documents the village was named after the river with the same name. The serf peasants of the Ryazan-Murmansk metropolitans and the bishop serfs lived in Bolshoi Lomovise, so the village was later renamed Mitropolye [4] . A native of the village of Mitropolye Morozov Anatoly Petrovich (02.26.1924-23.01.1991), Lieutenant-General, Head of the Sumy Art School, a participant in the Second World War, a participant in hostilities in Afghanistan, Chief of the operational headquarters for the elimination of the accident in Chernobyl.
