Biography
Born on November 16, 1905 in the village of Kanokovo, now in the Uspensky district of the Krasnodar Territory .
In the Red Army since December 1941. In the army since January 1942. He distinguished himself in the battles for the village of Gizel in the Prigorodny district of North Ossetia in November 1942.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 31, 1943, for the exemplary performance of the combat missions of the command and the courage and heroism of the guard shown, Red Army soldier Shaposhnikov Yakov Fedorovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
Since October 1945, Junior Lieutenant Shaposhnikov in reserve and then retired. He lived and worked in the city of Mineralnye Vody in the Stavropol Territory. He died on May 25, 1981.
