Bugayets, Nikolay Grigoryevich

Nikolai Grigoryevich Bugayets ( August 29, 1914 - August 2, 1983 ) - Soviet soldier, participant in the Great Patriotic War , full cavalier of the Order of Glory , assistant platoon commander of the 1161st Infantry Regiment (351st Infantry Division, 18th Army, 1st Ukrainian front), senior sergeant - at the time of submission to the award of the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.

Biography

Born on August 29, 1914 in the village of Starotitarovskaya, now Temryuk district, Krasnodar Territory . He worked on a collective farm, was a trailer and tractor driver.

In the Red Army since 1941. At the front in World War II from August of that year. Defended Stalingrad, fought on the Kursk, liberated Ukraine. He was wounded 4 times, was awarded the medal "For Courage".

On June 19, 1944, Senior Sergeant Bugayets Nikolai Grigorievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree. On August 16, 1944 he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

Due to a severe wound to the chest, he was discharged from the wound.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, for the exemplary performance of the command assignments in battles, Senior Sergeant Nikolai G. Bugayets was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

He returned to his native village. He died on August 2, 1983.
