Biography
Born on December 23, 1919 in the village of Novomyshastovskaya, Krasnoarmeysky District, Krasnodar Region . He worked at the farm .
In January 1940, drafted into the Red Army . He served in the artillery units.
On June 22, 1941 in the army on the fronts of World War II . He fought on the South-West, Voronezh, Stalingrad, Donskoy, 2nd Baltic, 3rd Baltic, 1st Belorussian fronts. Member of the defensive battles in Ukraine in 1941, the Voronezh-Voroshilovgrad defensive operation, the Battle of Stalingrad.
For the exemplary performance of combat missions of the command and the courage and heroism shown by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 21, 1943, the junior sergeant Nikolai Parkhomenko was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
He participated in the Leningrad-Novgorod, Pskov-Ostrovsky, Riga, Vistula-Oder, East Pomeranian and Berlin operations.
In 1946, Captain N. K. Parkhomenko transferred to the reserve. He lived in the city Gulkevichi Krasnodar Territory. He died on February 13, 1997.
