Alfred "Friedel" Lutz (born January 21, 1939 in Bad Vilbel , Third Reich ) is a German footballer.

Career
Lutz spent most of his career in Eintracht , whom he joined in 1955 and with whom he reached the European Cup final in 1960, where he played against Real Madrid (3: 7). He played at the club until 1973. For the season 1966/67, he joined the winner of the Bundesliga , Munich 1860 , but, being injured, he returned to his native club [1] .
Lutz made his debut for Germany on 3 August 1960 in a match against Iceland , a serious injury prevented him from taking part in the 1962 World Cup . Nevertheless, he won second place with Germany four years later at the 1966 World Cup . Lutz left the national team after this tournament, so his last match took place in the semifinals against the Soviet Union (2: 1) [2] .
