The Russian Basketball Championship in Division B of the Super League of the 2004/2005 season was held from October 9, 2004 to May 26, 2005 and became the fifth draw of the men's basketball Super League B. From the 2004/05 season to the Super League B, it was decided to allow the farm clubs of Super League A teams ( without the right to upgrade) [1] , although not all Super League clubs A took advantage of this right.

16 teams took part in the draw: 8 clubs that played in Super League B in the previous season , “ Dieselist ” from Marx of the Saratov Region (who won the Premier League in the previous season), “ Standard ” from Tolyatti , Saratov Avtodor , which became a farm club St. Petersburg Dynamo (which arose after the relocation of the former Avtodor, who played in Super League A) [2] , as well as the backup teams of five Super League A. clubs, “ Old Sable ” from Nizhny Tagil in 2004/05 was a farm club Ekaterinburg " Evraz ". - Spartak-Primorye won a ticket to Super League A for the next season.
- Sibirtelecom-2 withdrew from the tournament after 12 matches played. In all the remaining games, he was credited with technical defeats with a score of 0:20.
- BC LenVO in the next season played in the major league A.
- The Saratov Avtodor played in the B. Major League the following season
