Located 52 kilometers north-west of the district center Toropets , on the right bank of the river Cunha . In 2 km - the village of Uvarovo .
The population of the 2002 census was 64, 30 men, 34 women.
In 1997 - 38 farms, 72 inhabitants, elementary school.
History
In the List of Populated Places of the Pskov Gubernia [1] in the Kholmsky district , the following are the graveyard Galibitsy (Golibets), 8 yards, 17 inhabitants, the Orthodox Church, the volost government of the Galibice-Nemchinov volost, 4 fairs; and the estate of Galibitsa (Yakhontovo, Kosarenkovo) 2 yards, 5 inhabitants. Next to them is the village of Novaya (Novoe) - 3 yards, 25 inhabitants. After the war, these three settlements merged into the village of Ghalibitsy.
