Biography
At the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, he fought in the weight category up to 75 kilograms (average weight “A”). The battle according to the tournament regulations lasted 30 minutes, at the end of the 30-minute round, the judges could appoint another 30-minute round and so on, without limiting the number of additional rounds. The winner is the athlete who managed to put out the opponent or by decision of the judges; also, both rivals could be declared losers due to passive wrestling. In average weight “A” 38 athletes fought for medals. The tournament was held according to the system with elimination after two defeats; the remaining fighters played medals among themselves.
After Klas Johansson in the first round stewed at the 8th minute of the clear favorite of the tournament, two-time winner of international championships Alois Totushek, the wrestler had no problems until the fifth round. In the fifth round, together with the famous Finnish wrestler Alpo Asikainen, he was disqualified for passive wrestling. For everyone, this was the first defeat in the tournament. In the final, Klas Johansson was supposed to fight with Russian wrestler Martin Klein , but the latter, being completely exhausted from the 11-hour fight with Asikainen on the eve of the fight, did not show up and the Swedish wrestler received the title of Olympic champion.

At the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, he fought in the weight category up to 82.5 kilograms (light heavy). The battle according to the tournament regulations lasted two rounds of 10 minutes each, and if none of the wrestlers touched the opponent during these rounds, an additional round of 20 minutes was appointed, and after it (or during it) the victory was awarded by decision of the judges. In some cases, another additional round, lasting 10 minutes, could be assigned to identify the winner. However, after the first day of the competition, the organizers came to the conclusion that with such a system they would not have time to conduct the competition, and the time of the fight was reduced to one 10-minute round, in which it was possible to win only on the carcass and a 15-minute additional round, after which the victory was given by decision of the judges. In the light heavyweight, 18 athletes fought for medals. The tournament was held according to the system with elimination after the defeat; winners in all fights held their tournament for the first place, losers to the champion played the second place in their tournament, losers to the loser champion played the third place in their tournament. [2] Winning all fights, Klas Juhasson became a two-time Olympic champion.
