Biography
Representative of the Polish noble family of the Kosczeletsk coat of arms “ Little Fire ”. The eldest son of the voivode of Inowroclaw and the headman of Dobrzynski Janusz Koscieletski (d. After 1424 ). the younger brother is the voivode of Inowroclaw, Jan Kosczeletsky (c. 1415 - 1475 ).
After the death of his father, Nikolai Kostseletsky inherited large estates in Kuyavia . Initially, he wore the ranks of the cornet of Bydgoszcz ( 1433 ) and Brzezciu-Kuyavsky ( 1434 ).
A supporter of the Polish king Casimir IV Jagiellonian , one of the implementers of his Prussian policy. In 1448, he received the post of Bydgoszczski Kashtelan , in 1453 he was appointed Kashtelan of Inowroclaw . In the same 1453, Nikolai Kostseletsky received the post of governor of Inowroclaw and the headman of Dobrzynski . In 1457 he was appointed governor of Brzeесć-Kuyavia .
In 1449, on behalf of the king , Nikolai Kostseletsky ruled the estates of the Kuyavian bishops, who were in Pomerania under the control of the Teutonic Order . May 26, 1450 was a member of five Polish officials who were present in Brodnica when the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order brought a vassal oath of allegiance to the Polish crown.
In 1476 - 1478, Nikolai Kostseletsky held the post of headman of Malbork .

In 1444, he married Dorothy from Pniew (d. After 1462 ), from a marriage with whom he had three sons:
