Biography
Kai began to show musical inclinations quite early, when at the age of fourteen he became seriously interested in singing and playing the piano. Kai’s career began in 1999 with Meties when he released the demo “Recur to Mind”. In those days, he bore another name - Hime, by which he later became known as a member of the Isola and Schwarz Stein groups. It was then that his acquaintance began with the musicians Kalm and Hora, with whom Kaya has been collaborating to this day. After the release of Queen of Decadence, the guys made an agreement with Midi: Nette, which was owned by the famous musician Mane. Immediately after this, Hime took on a new name, Kaya, by which he is still known. Schwarz Stein played a significant role in the development of the Japanese Gothic scene, however, in 2004, after the release of the album “Artificial Halluciation”, the team officially broke up. Later, Kaya and Hora repeatedly performed together to implement joint projects such as ANOTHER CELL. Together, they recorded a disc consisting of only eight tracks, which sold a circulation of a thousand copies.
Finally, Kaya decided to take up a solo career, and in July 2006 his debut single “Kaleidoscope” was released. Kay was helped by former Velvet Eden Kalm on this single. Two months later, the second single, “Masquerade”, appeared, and in December, fans could purchase Kai's first album, which was called “Glitter”. This album is also interesting because of the nine songs, two were recorded with the participation of Kalm ("Paradise Lost" and "Hydrangea"), and three - Hora ("Walkure", "Rose Jail", "Glitter Arch"). Then he took part in the Winter Romantic festival. The event was a resounding success, which only added fame to Kaye and increased the number of fans of his undoubted talent.
The following year, he performed at Shibuya O-West and released the single "Ouka Ryouran". In July, the mini-album Hyakkiyakou was released; In the fall, another release took place - the single "Carmilla". The concept of this single was borrowed by Kaya from Joseph Sheridan Le Fan's book Carmilla. In the work on the single, he was helped by the founder of the HIZAKI grace project, guitarist Hizaki . Kaya then took part in the Node of Scherzo project along with Kamijou , Juka, and Hizaki. At the end of the year, Kaya finally got major status and started work on his next single.
On January 16, 2008, Kaya gave a concert at Shibuya O-West, and in April the maxi-single “Chocolat” went on sale.
In 2014, Kaya, together with Chardzhi, TaNoy, Toshi and Iori, organized the group Femme Fatale, and, having revived the Schwarz Stein project, on March 26, Kaya and Hora released the single "GEBET".
