Tatyana Sashko words

These eyes are opposite -
Kaleidoscope of lights.
These eyes are opposite -
Brighter and warmer.
These eyes are opposite -
Tea color.
These eyes are opposite -
What is it? What is it?

Chorus:
Let me fall, let
In sentimentality and sadness,
My will against
These eyes are opposite!
That fate brought,
That fate brought,
That fate brought us together.
Just do not let me down,
Just do not let me down,
Just do not take your eyes off.

The song was first heard on the radio by Valeriy Obodzinsky , largely repeating the phenomenal success of the previous joint hit song of David Tukhmanov and Obodzinsky - “Oriental Song” [1] .

After Valery Obodzinsky’s speech in Moscow in the spring of 1974, Nikita Bogoslovsky , who was wrong many times in the assessments of contemporary musicians, published a review of this concert in the Soviet Culture newspaper, in which he wrote:

The program included a small potpourri of recent Obodzinsky hits. And I must say that it sounded against the background of new works by Valery Obodzinsky rather colorless. It is clear that “These eyes are opposite” are a thing of the past ... [2]

In the 1970s, the song had the comic name “These eyes are not against” [3] .

Criticism

One of the most consistent and tough critics of the Soviet variety art Sergey Zharikov paid tribute to the song "These Eyes Opposite" and the first joint hit of Tukhmanov and Obodzinsky - "The Eastern Song ":

It so happened that for only one and a half minute, a single “Eastern song” made famous not only the performer, but also its composer - David Fedorovich Tukhmanov. Tukhmanov's “youthfulness” rejected the man of a different generation, Obodzinsky, but the composer insisted on his own, and, as it turned out, the game was worth the candle. And this fusion of the subtle, but seemingly outdated manner of the singer with the elements of the beat , which the ingenious Tukhmanov constantly encrusted into the languid Soviet song, in the early 70s truly embodied in Tatiana Sashko 's immortal nostalgic masterpiece “These eyes opposite” [4] .
