James grew Parle , South Africa , on a wine farm. His family was conservative and separatist , his father was a Dutch reformer , despite the fact that James was a liberal.
Career
Early work
On stage in the theater, he appeared in such productions as “The Portrait of Dorian Gray ” (2002), “ Midsummer Night's Dream ” (2005) and “ My Fair Lady ” (2006) and in other local, written and well-rated Fangs ( 2007), a comedy tale about the vampire of Johannesburg, who loses his fangs. He also appeared in All-Around ( That's awesome! ) (2007), a comedy about a married couple, the next face of sexuality and atheism of her husband.
District No. 9
Perhaps his most famous role was the role of Cubus Venter, the ruthless colonel who commanded the armed forces of Multi-National-United (MNU) in the 2009 film “ District No. 9 ”.
