Savenok, Alexander Borisovich

Alexander Borisovich Savenok (born 1957) - Soviet Russian drafts player (Russian drafts). He plays blitz and in absentia. Prizewinner of the Russian Championship in the 2003 lightning-fast program [1] . Multiple champion of St. Petersburg (Leningrad) in Russian drafts, in lightning fast (1986-1991, 1992, 1993, 1997) and in the classical program (1992, 2004) [2] . Champion of Moscow in Russian drafts in the lightning-fast program (August 18, 1991). Master of Sports of the USSR (1978). Member of the championships of Russia in correspondence. He was one of the ten strongest rated drafts players in Russia [3] [4]

He writes poetry (under the pseudonym Alexander Konyov), translations, essays, articles. He participated in the collection “Faces” (L., 1990), the author of the book “Games Through!” (St. Petersburg, 2001). A participant of LITO " Comradely Avenue ", attended the translation studio of V. Toporov . In the early 80's, he translated 5 Shakespeare sonnets; although the favorite source is R. Frost. [five]
