The Grand Prix of Bruno Begelli ( Italian: Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli ) is a one-day road cycling race along the roads of the Italian province of Bologna , near the town of Montevelio .

History
The race was first held in 1996 as the Italian Road Cycling Championship , won by Mario Cipollini . From next year, she replaced the Milan-Vignola cycling race, which was discontinued.
Since 2005, included in the calendar UCI Europe Tour . First, she received category 1.1 , in 2014 she increased to 1.HC. [1] It takes place in October on the day after the Giro del Emilia .
The race was organized by Gruppo Sportivo Emilia in memory of Bruno Begelli, father of Jan Pietro Begelli, who founded the company Gruppo Beghelli . [2]
The start and finish of the one-day stay are located in Montevelo , in the municipality of Walsamoja , where the Begelli factories are located. Starting point changes only in exceptional cases. The distance includes a 12.3 km finish lap with Zapolino ascent (310 m), to be overcome ten times. [2]
