Church of the Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God

The church in honor of the Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God in Czestochowa is a modern Orthodox parish church of the Krakow dean of the Lodz and Poznan diocese of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church .

The church is located at the intersection of St. Nicholas Copernicus and Silesia, a block from the train station .

The construction of the temple was initiated by the architect Michal Balash [1] from Bialystok . Currently, the whole building is completed, the last stages of decoration are underway. Also, the church has not been painted yet. The cornerstone for the construction of the church was consecrated by Patriarch Bartholomew I in 1998 [2] . Inside the temple is a modern iconostasis .

Previously, the Orthodox community owned the church of St. Cyril and Methodius in the area of ​​Vladislav Begansky, but after gaining independence in 1918, it was transferred to the Catholics .

Currently, services are available only on Saturdays and Sundays.
