Geography
The village is located on the banks of the river Punda [1] or Afonasovka [2]
History
According to the Lists of the populated areas of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village of Novoe belonged to the 1st camp of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . There was 1 yard in it , 10 men and 16 women lived. [one]
According to the 1897 census , 39 people lived in the village (19 men and 20 women). [2]
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the Novoye estate belonged to the Yakhnobol volost of the Galich district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 7 peasant households and 55 inhabitants. In the estate there were brick and oil plants, a windmill. The main occupation of the inhabitants of the estate was carpentry [2] .
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was part of the Kabanovsky rural settlement. [3] [4]
