The Queen Was in the Parlor (“The Queen Was in the Living Room”) - a romantic play in three acts by the English writer Noel Coward . Belongs to the Ruritania genre, its name is taken from a line in the nursery rhyme “ Sing a Song of Sixpence !”. Although the play was written in 1922 , it was first put on stage only on August 24, 1926 at the St. Martin's Theater.
