Biography
He was born on December 31, 1907 in the village of Klimovka, now Kremensky district of the Lugansk region of Ukraine, in the family of a miner. After graduating from a seven-year school, he worked as a blacksmith, then as secretary of the village council.
In the Border Troops of the OGPU of the USSR since 1929. In 1939 he graduated from the border school of the NKVD of the USSR. Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940.
Member of World War II . He fought on the Central, Volkhov and Transcaucasian fronts.
He showed heroism in the defense of the village of Hiitola , where he “personally destroyed 15 white Finns“ cuckoos ”, being wounded, killed a German machine gunner, captured an easel machine gun and continued to strike the enemy out of it with fire. Having received a second wound, he did not leave the battlefield and lost consciousness during a third wound, bleeding, ” [1] . Providing him with medical assistance, the medical officer of the Red Army A. A. Kokorin distinguished himself.
On August 26, 1941, for the exemplary fulfillment of the combat missions of the command and the courage and heroism shown to this, the senior political officer Rudenko Nikolai Matveyevich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal.
Later he took part in reconnaissance and sabotage operations near Moscow, was part of a group that ensured the security of the Tehran Conference of Heads of Allied Powers.

Since 1946, Lieutenant Colonel Rudenko in stock. He lived in the city of Rubezhnoye, Luhansk region of Ukraine, worked at a chemical plant.
He died on September 26, 1983.
