Biography
When registering a birth, she received a name in honor of the main work of Karl Marx - “ Capital ” [2] .
In 1943 she graduated from a music school in Makhachkala , after which she participated in the amateur activities of the Palace of Culture of Fishermen, and sang before going to theaters. Then she sang in the choir of the Dagestan Radio Committee. Soon, at the invitation of the Lithuanian jazz orchestra, she moved to Moscow ( Vilnius at that time was under German occupation ), performed under the pseudonym of Kitty Shimanovskaya [3] . Simultaneously with performances she studied at the Gnesinsky school .
From 1946 she worked at VGKO (now “ Moskontsert ”); since 1956 - soloist of the orchestra Leonid Utesova ; With this orchestra I made my first record on a record.

After working with Utyosov, Kapitalina Lazarenko became the lead singer of the Pops Orchestra conducted by Eddie Rosner , where she worked with Nina Dorda [4] . Since 1956, she has also performed with Evgeny Vyvodkina's ensemble, in the 1960s with pianist David Ashkenazi [5] .
She died on January 7, 2007 . She was buried in Moscow at the Pyatnitsky cemetery (28th precinct) [6] [7] [8] .

The song "Maybe" by Eddie Rosner, written especially for Kapitalina Lazarenko, Poles liked it so much that they released the perfume "Maybe ...", which became adored in the Soviet Union [9] .
