Biography
Born on September 15, 1928 in the village of Krinichki [1], Kupyansky District, Kharkiv Region . He worked at the railway station Kupyansk.
In 1956 he moved to the city of Novodruzhevsk . In 1961 he moved to the town of Svatovo, Lugansk region, and went to work as a cattleman in the department 1 of the state farm "Friendship" in the town of Svatovo.
Fomenko D.I. went to work as a milkman and gathered a group of 50 cows. Gradually he increased his group of cows to 100-120 heads, while the milk yield increased to 3 thousand kg of milk from the cow. March 22, 1966 for outstanding achievements in the development of animal husbandry, increasing the production and procurement of meat, milk, eggs, wool and other agricultural products, Dmitry Ivanovich Fomenko was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Sickle and Hammer Gold Medal .
January 16, 1981 tragically died.
