Biography

Georgy Raspopov was born on December 15, 1931 in the village of Bogoroditskoye (now Peschanokopsky district of the Rostov region ).

After finishing four classes of the school, he worked as a trailer in a machine and tractor station . In 1951 - 1954 he served in the Soviet Army . After being demobilized, he graduated from the courses at the Salsk School of Mechanization and became a combine operator at the Tselinsky machine and tractor station, and in 1958 - at the collective farm named after May 1 [1] .

Having become the link of the cleaning link, Raspopov managed to increase the overall productivity of labor. After the collapse of the link, he continued to achieve high performance in his work. So, in 1973, he threshed a total of 15 thousand centners of grain on his collective farm and in the neighboring region [1] .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of December 7, 1973 for "great successes achieved in the All-Union Socialist Competition and the manifested labor prowess in fulfilling the obligations undertaken to increase the production and sale of grain and other agricultural products in 1973," Georgy Raspopov was awarded the high title of Hero Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the medal "Hammer and Sickle" .

He was sent to harvest in Mongolia , helping locals to master Soviet equipment.

Raspopov was actively involved in social activities, was elected as a deputy of a number of elected bodies, including a deputy of the Tselinsky District Council, and was a member of the Bureau of the Tselinsky District Committee of the CPSU.

Since 1991 - retired. After the collapse of the USSR, he returned to work in the village. He lived on the Svobodny farm in the Tselinsky district .

He died in 2006, was buried in Tselin [1] .

Memory

  • In the Svobodny farm, not far from May comprehensive school No. 10, there is a park named after Hero of Socialist Labor Raspopov Georgy Efimovich, over which school students are patronizing. [2]
