Content
Etymology
The name, which is a broad term, most often means “stranded on the river”, sometimes “field among the forest” [3] .
Geographical position
It is located 32 km east of Osipovichi and 5 km from the railway station Yasen , 101 km from Mogilev , not far from the Minsk - Bobruisk highway. To the north of the village is the Kolchanka River. In the layout of the village, close to the quarter, the main curved street is a section of a country road and on both sides is built up with wooden houses [1] .
History
In 1897, this village (another name Tatarkovichi Kazennye ) was located in the Svisloch volost of the Bobruisk district of the Minsk province with 274 inhabitants, 46 yards, a bread store and a wine shop. The school, opened in 1906, was located in a rented peasant house, over time, the library opened, the number of students reached 90 (1922). From February to November 1918 Oseredok was occupied by German troops, from August 1919 to July 1920 - Polish. In 1922, a large plot of once landowner land moved to the village. In 1932, a collective farm named after M. I. Kalinin was created here [1] .
During World War II, Oseredok was occupied by Nazi troops from the end of June 1941 to June 29, 1944. When occupying the village in June 1941, the invaders burned 126 yards and killed 27 residents. At the front, 77 residents were killed. In 1971, the village of Zaellnik was attached to Oserdok. In the city there are FAP , shop, library [1] .
The famous Belarusian scientist in the field of pediatrics , doctor of medical sciences, professor Ivan Nesterovich Usov was born in the village [1] . Partisans I. I., Bakun M. G., Neverovich M. E., Ravenko M. D., Vorobyov S. R., Romanenko M. M., Suravets I. P., Suravets P. were buried in the local cemetery. G. and the Soviet warrior [4] .
