Content

History

Splayn was created in 2013 under the auspices of MGK im. P.I. Tchaikovsky . The founder and project manager is Sergey Uvarov , the co-founder and curator of the project from the Moscow Conservatory is Marina Karaseva , the co-founder and executive secretary of Splayn is Olga Kuznetsova. The presentation of the social network took place on September 19, 2013 in the conference hall of the Moscow Conservatory with the participation of the rector of the conservatory, Professor Alexander Sokolov .

Name Origin

The name of the site is made up of three words: Sound (sound), PLAY (play) and Network (Internet network). The social network is aimed at musicians and music lovers of various styles. Splayn will allow performers and composers to present their creativity and create a professional resume. Music connoisseurs will be able to listen to music from Splayn members without registering, read blogs, comments and reviews, track the performances of their favorite artists.

Functionality

Registration on the social network is free. Registered Splayn users have the following features:

  • post your music recordings (both audio and video), creating a detailed description of each number, as well as allowing or prohibiting their downloading;
  • post your text, music and video materials, as well as materials (reviews) on your own work;
  • to comment and review music recordings of other Splayn members, receive comments and reviews on their work;
  • post announcements of future performances and create a database of your past concerts (new performances will then automatically be added to this database);
  • participate in Splayn ratings. Participants and posts with the highest rating get to the main page of the social network
  • Blogging;
  • Add other Splayn members as friends by tracking their new posts and announcements.

One of the social missions of the Splayn project is to create a “cultural Internet” zone. The social network Splayn is focused primarily on the professional tasks of the musician. Through Splayn, the musician will be able to find partners for the ensemble, future performers of his works, works by modern composers for his own performances, as well as communicate directly with fans of his work. For beginner talents, Splayn can become a powerful “social elevator”: any member of the social network, regardless of their education, place of residence and age, has a chance to take the lead in the Splayn rating and attract the attention of the entire music industry. The bilingual interface of the site contributes to the expansion of international cultural contacts within the music community. Members of the social network Splayn are students of music universities, music colleges and schools. creative studios, as well as soloists and participants in musical ensembles of classical, modern and folk music styles.
