Geography
The distance to the district center is 150 km. The settlement is located on the banks of the Ob River .
History
According to the available information, in 1740, the cult center of Lumpokol Khanty - the Pirchina Yurt - was located on the territory of the modern Novonikolsky settlement. In 1764 a parish was established here. According to the data of 1868, the population was Khanty (Ostyaks) [2] . The entire Khanty was the population according to the census of 1897 (Pirchinskaya foreign volost). In total here in 1897 94 people lived, there were 18 farms. In the documents of 1909, this place appeared already as Lavrushkin Island (named after the owner of this land - Ostyak Lavrushka) of the Lower-Lumpokol Volost, Surgut County, Tobolsk Province (27 families in 1912). In 1913 the village Novonikolskoye was formed, the church was consecrated [2] .
In 1920 , at the dawn of Soviet power , the Novo-Nikolsky Village Council was formed, which included: Yu. Pyrchiny, with. Novo-Nikolskoye, u. Pikovskie, der. Kiev, y. Kiev. Three years later, the borders of the Council were significantly expanded; several more settlements entered the settlement. The total population was 1176 people. [2]
In 2006, the modern boundaries of the settlement were established. At that time, the population of Novonikolsky was 337 people. (of these, 67 people are Khanty), a total of 132 farms [2] .

The head of the settlement and the chairman of the council is Vladimir Nikolayevich Pershin [10] [11] .
Social and economics
There is an obstetric and pharmacy station, a kindergarten and a secondary school in Novonikolsk [12] . The House of Culture, the library and the department for the development of physical culture and sports also work (as part of the MU Cultural and Sports Center "Siberia") [12] .
A bakery works in the village (annual production is 11 tons), the agricultural enterprise Novonikolskoye LLC ( fodder , horse breeding ), 3 private stores [13] . In total, 7 individual entrepreneurs are registered in the village.
In Novonikolsk, there is a communication department of the Aleksandrovsky structural unit of the Tomsk branch of Sibirtelecom OJSC and a branch of the Post of Russia . Constant traffic is only by air (helicopter) and by water (motor ship, steam) [13] .
Utilities services are provided by Komservice UE [13] .
