Biography

Born on November 21, 1910 in the city of Kharkov . Since 1926 he worked at the Hammer and Sickle Hammer factory in Kharkov . In 1931-35 he studied at the Kharkov Aviation Institute. After he was the head of the tool shop of the Kharkov plant 135 aviation industry.

In wartime he was evacuated to the city of Kazan . First participated in the production of IL-4 aircraft the basis of Soviet long-range aviation, and then high-speed Tu-2 bombers.

From 1961 to 1975, M.I. Ryzhikh was the director of the engineering plant named after M.V. Khrunichev. When it was released: gas-turbine high-speed helicopters Mi-6, Mi-8, intercontinental ballistic missiles UR100K, UR100KNU, UR200, UR500, launch vehicles Proton2, Proton3, Proton4, the family of manned spacecraft Salyut, interplanetary Luna1 24, Venera1 9, Mars2 7 stations.

July 26, 1966 for outstanding services in fulfilling the plan of 1959-1965 and the creation of new technology, was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle" .

Since 1975, M. I. Ryzhikh retired. He lived in Moscow. He died on February 23, 1982.
