Galileo is a computer program designed for media planning . It works in the Windows operating system. Developer - Pulse Train Technology.

The program optimizes the distribution of the advertising budget for the media depending on predefined criteria based on the description of the target group and the list of media, where the share of the target audience is quite large.

Criteria used:

  • duration of the advertising campaign;
  • target group coverage ;
  • frequency (average number of contacts with your ad for one person);
  • cost per 1000 contacts ;
  • total budget.

The program uses standardized media research data.

After basic optimization, the program gives the user a media plan that includes: a list of media, the optimal number of outputs, selected by the program, price for the planned advertising volume, other parameters. In addition, it shows the total optimization results - the total number of outputs and the achieved indicators: Cover in thousands of people and percent of the target group, Frequency, cost per 1000 contacts (CPT), compliance index (Index T / U), showing the ratio of the ratings of selected media among the target group and the calculated plan to the ratings of the same media among all respondents.
