Reyo Juhani Hukkanen ( fin. Reijo Juhani Hukkanen ; May 4, 1946 , Oulu , Finland ) was a Finnish sculptor and painter who was awarded the highest state award of Finland for artists in 2012 by the medal “ Pro Finlandia ” [1] .

Born on May 4, 1946 in Oulu, Finland.
The early works of the artist created in the style of primitivism (naivism) and surrealism . In 1987 he was awarded the state prize in the field of painting. In 1991 he was elected in Finland as the .
Creativity
In 2010, the project of the artist became the winner of an open competition for the design of the square in front of the House of Music in Helsinki. On August 28, 2012, the opening of the song “Singing Trees” took place, including a 13-meter singing pike (based on the poem “Song of the Pike” by the Finnish poet Aaro Hellakoski, written in 1928), high piano covers, wood pile and alder bushes made from aluminum and steel [2] .
