The river is 41 km long [2] . Formed by the confluence of the Left and Right Kookvyn at the northern foot of Lunnaya Mountain (1159 m), it flows into Palyavaam , being its left tributary. The height of the mouth is 285 m above sea level [3] .

The name translated from Chukot . - β€œdeep place” [4] .

Tributaries (from the mouth) [3] : Avrenvaam , Lower, Middle, Pass, Rocky, Arkhar.

At the mouth of the river there was a hydrological post "Deep".
