Novikov, Vitaly Mikhailovich

Vitaly Mikhailovich Novikov (born January 13, 1979 , Moscow ) [1] is a Russian figure skater who performed in ice dancing . With Svetlana Kulikova are the winners of the 2003 Nebelhorn Trophy .

Biography

At the beginning of his career, Vitaliy tried to ride with Anastasia Grebenkina , Ekaterina Gvozdkova and Mackenzie Moliver. With Svetlana Kulikova, he paired up in January 2003 . They won their first joint tournament - the Nebelhorn Trophy , ahead of Yana Khokhlova and Sergey Novitsky , twice became winners of the Russian Championship , twice participated in the European and World Championships. Their best results are 7 at the European Championship 2005 and 13 at the 2004 World Championship . At that time, they were trained by Evgeny Platov and Tatyana Tarasova . They stopped working after 14th place at the 2005 World Cup .

In 2005, Novikov paired up with Olga Orlova . They became 6 at the Cup of Russia 2005 and 5 at the Russian Championship .

In 2008, he took part in the ice show of Channel One - “Ice Age - 2” with Zhanna Friske

Currently, Vitaliy works as a figure skating coach.
