The 37th NHL All-Star Game was held on February 12, 1985, at the Olympic Saddledom arena, home to the Calgary Flames club. The 19-year-old Pittsburgh Penguins striker Mario Lemieux , who made his debut in the NHL and in the all-star game, who scored 2 goals, including the winning one and gave one assist, was recognized as the best player of the meeting.
