NHL All-Star Game 1985

The 37th NHL All-Star Game was held on February 12, 1985, at the Olympic Saddledom arena, home to the Calgary Flames club. The game, held in the Olympic Saddledom, which was specially built for the 1988 Olympic Games, ended with the victory of the Prince of Wales conference team with a score of 6: 4. The NHL , trying to attract more attention to the all-star match, often ignored by the media, for the first time gives fans lists of players to choose the starting fives of national teams, as has already been done in the NBA and NFL .

The 19-year-old Pittsburgh Penguins striker Mario Lemieux , who made his debut in the NHL and in the all-star game, who scored 2 goals, including the winning one and gave one assist, was recognized as the best player of the meeting. Not a single newcomer has ever managed to become the most valuable player in a match of stars. Mike Krushelnitski and Ray Bourke became the second and third "star" of the game. Ray Bourke gave four assists to partners, thus setting a new record for all-star matches.
